JEANS IN ITALY

When it comes to fashion or styling, Italy is the number one reference for many important brands around the world. Jeans are also a big industry in Italy.

In fact, the story of jeans begins in the city of Genoa, in Italy, famous for its cotton corduroy, called either jean or jeane; the jeans fabric from Genoa (at that time) was in fact very similar to corduroy.

Italy jeans industry is mainly focused on product development through their top designers and finishing specialists. The main areas of jeans production and product development are located in northern Italy, near Milano and Venice area) and South, nearby Naples and Nola.

Italy also has good manufacturers of denim fabrics and fabric stock distributors.
